Hey now. Since tomorrow (January 23, 2020) I have my first colonoscopy, I have decided that today is the last shit I’m going to give. So that means I’m free. Free to write this, free to post it to my blog, free to let ‘er rip.
Want to give a great big THANK YOU to my meditation practice today. Sitting in my chair, willing my tiny speck of matter to sit still for fifteen minutes as I shifted my awareness to the vastness of the Universe (we really are so insignificantly infinitesimal, are we not?).
And the Universe did not disappoint.
Of course it didn’t.
I sat and felt my heart open, felt a resonance, a coherence with all around me. Then it hit. The tears. I almost always cry when I meditate, I think it’s because my trillions of cells just can’t hold all that energy I feel at the moment, and it has to express itself somehow, so it comes a-squirtin’ out my eyeballs. We got you, said all the forebearers and love and life-forces before me. Go for it.
So yeah. Thanks, Universe.
And here we go.

Craft, Feedback, and a Path to Publication
(check back for fall programming)
Already written a couple of chapters? Have a story you just can't get out of your head but don't know what to do next. This every-other week series of six classes is intended for those interested in refining their craft and receiving constructive feedback on their project. This class is taught by a traditionally published author and often the writers in this class wish to prepare their project for publication, either traditionally or otherwise. It is useful for any fictional genre, narrative non-fiction, or memoir. You will receive instruction on creating dynamic characters, crafting scenes that show not tell the story, refining your dialogue, and tightening your plot. You will have a chance to receive feedback from an engaged group of writers and readers, and you will learn to read your own work (and others) with a critical eye.
Cost: $225
